Alterna® 2-piece closed pouch has a mechanical coupling for extra security
The pouch is securely fastened to the adhesive baseplate by a mechanical coupling system. An audible click confirms the secure locking of the pouch onto the baseplate.
Before sealing the pouch, it can be rotated to the desired position, without having to remove it from the baseplate.
The pouch can be removed from the adhesive screw-on baseplate, allowing for more frequent pouch replacement than baseplate replacement.
Alterna® 2-piece closed pouches are available with baseplates for standard, flat, or convex applications. The wide assortment consists of a range of baseplates with pre-cut or cut-to-fit shapes for maximum customisation, accompanied by pouches with a variety of formats available in transparent and opaque versions.

Alterna® 2-piece closed pouch has a range of features designed for comfort and discretion:
Effective filter - the integrated multi-layer filter avoids the risk of the pouch ballooning and forming unnecessary bulges, and neutralises odour.
Soft fabric backing - the side of the pouch in contact with the skin has a lining of soft material that allows the skin to breathe and dry quickly after a shower or swim.
Odour-proof film - the pouch is made of an anti-odour material.
Convexity, for difficult-to-manage stomas
Alterna® 2-piece closed pouch is available with two different levels of convexity, specifically designed for difficult-to-manage stomas. A special oval shell exerts gentle pressure on the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude from the skin.

Light Convex:
A solution for flushed or slightly retracted stomas that provides extra protection through light and gentle pressure on the abdomen.

Convex:
A solution for retracted stomas, deep skin folds and scars, providing extra protection through moderate to high pressure on the abdomen.
