Hot: Place the gel pack in the microwave for approximately 30 seconds (if the gel pack is frozen at room temperature) or one minute (if the gel pack is frozen at high power) after this time. Make sure the correct temperature is reached. If there is no further exposure, microwave in 10-second bursts. Times are based on a 600-watt microwave. Adjust heating times according to your microwave's power. Hot water: Bring water to a boil. Remove it from the heat and immerse the gel pack for approximately 4-10 minutes. After 4 minutes, check every minute to see if the correct temperature has been reached, which is ideal for use – temporary relief of muscle aches, back pain, sinusitis, and menstrual cramps.
